trolling for comments
Today I have a couple of questions for my runner friends, feel free to chime in.
1. I am getting into my long runs for my next race. Today was a 16. But. I had childcare issues so I had to break it into to two pieces. 8 early this morning and the other 8 a few hours later. Does it still count? How much do I lose in terms of training if I have to break it up like that occasionally?
2. I just just got this watch (for my anniversary. Thanks, dear). I really like certain features but some of the calibrating seems to be off. It was at least a mile off on distance on both runs. Also. since I was timing separately on my stopwatch i can tell that the individual mile times get less and less accurate as I get t the end of the run. By the end it's wildly inaccurate. Is anyone else using these Nike devices (they all use the same sensor)? Does it just take a while for it to figure out my stride and such or is this a problem that other people have had? If so, were you able to solve it?
Thank you for your consideration, that is all.

I used to use a Polar footpod/watch and even though I calibrated it, if my pace or stride length differed from from the calibration it was off. I found that out during a marathon one year - it was most discouraging. I have since upgraded to a Garmin GPS watch.
Man, can I not get rid of Jamoosh on any blog. UGGG. ;)
Yes, it counts. 8+8 = you are good. I had a 20 miler two weeks ago that took 4 hours but what a 3 mile run. Stinking plumbers, life, summer camp.....but you bet it counts!!
I'm so bummed that it isn't working right! I hope it gets the bugs out soon... or maybe you can get a Garmin as a Christmas gift???
