off to the races

Today my pathology report came back. All clear. Woo-hoo! In celebration of being healthy I have decided to run the Wichita Marathon in October. It's relatively soon and I will have to train hard. That's why I am writing to tell all of you about my plan. They say that if you write a goal down you are more likely to accomplish it. They also say telling your friends increases your chances of success. This way I am killing two birds with one stone. So, I need all of you to insist that I be tough and not slack off. I am really excited and really nervous but I think if I can get this first one out of the way then the next won't be so intimidating. Right now my legs are quivering just thinking about it.

What a goal! I'm cheering for you all the way. From the sidelines, of course. :)

P.S. Your shoe blog is too cute. I'm a flip-flop lover, but anything with a heal is off limits for this klutzy girl.

Okay, I totally am doing a catch up on post reading- I am sorry I didn't hear about your lump and surgery earlier, I would have loved to give you words of encouragement, etc. I am very glad to hear that everything is good and that the surgery went well. Best of luck with the marathon. I don't understand why anyone would want to put their body through such torture, but you go girl.

Hurray, congratulations! And you are the woman! (Once again, for the hundredth time.) I am so super impressed. Way to go and congratulations again on your results!

I'm so glad it was nothing. That is really nerve racking. I'm glad you decided to do a marathon. Good luck with the training. I'm doing a half in October. I did a marathon 7 years ago, while me and my husband were dating, it was so awesome and time consuming and felt soooo great to finish it. I'm excited for you. Good luck with all that training.
