reason of the week for my dark circles

Dear awesome thunderstorms that rage in summer in Kansas,

I love you. I really, really do. You are amazingly beautiful with your purple skies and jagged lightning spikes everywhere and you keep all my beloved growing things happy with your torrential rains. You make summer more interesting and varied with your blowy winds and pounding hailstorms. Please don't go away. But. You are very loud. And very bright. And you make it very difficult for some of the people in my house to sleep, myself included. I am not well-suited to missing large chunks of sleep and neither is Tommy who is similarly afflicted. For the past three nights you have kept us up and/or woken us up with your ruckus. We are both starting to be a little grouchy about it. I would really appreciate it if you could restrict your nighttime activities to the quieter, darker variety. Soft pattering rain is fine, up to 25 mph winds are also fine. Lightning, hail, thunder and torrents would be best saved for daylight hours. Thank you so much for you consideration and again, thanks for all the good you do.

Love, Me

Poor thing! Wishing you lots of sleep on less nasty nights. Used to love those storms up to a point.
