i'm easy to impress
I had forgotten. Forgotten how long a marathon really is, how long it takes me to run it. How it feels even longer while I am right in the middle of it. How super long the last mile is and how amazing it feels to cross the finish line. I don't know if I will ever qualify for Boston (3:40 is a kind of ways from where I am now) and I will certainly never win one of these. But. I will sign up for another one come fall. Because I really love working towards something that feels almost unattainable and then proving to myself that it is not. Plus, it's totally fun to mention in random conversation that I ran a marathon last weekend. People act pretty impressed and quite frankly, they should be. I am.
P.S. Not commenting on my time because I was disappointed with it. If I just ignore it, it will go away, right?

As am I.
Way. To. Go. Awesome. Woman.
Your time doesn't matter to anyone but you. I couldn't finish a marathon if they gave me three days to do it. :)
I'm impressed.
Also, this is Rebecca. Not my husband, John.
YAY for you.
Own it!! Love it! Enjoy it!!
You're amazing!!
That is so amazing. Good for you!
I won't ask your time if you don't ask mine. Congrats! I am so proud of my older sister, you are my inspiration!
Dear Angie,
I'm WAY totally impressed that you are running marathons, no matter WHAT your time is. I don't know if you know, but running marathons? Kind of a big deal. :-)
Love, Cherron
I'm totally impressed!! great job...no matter WHAT your time is :)
Good job again- I just want a prego-free body so I can at least do more than just walk without cramping.
forgot to add . . . .
. . . don't think I ever mentioned to you. That my first marathon I ran a 4:14. My second marathon [9 years later] a 3:36. 38 minutes faster - trust me - you qualifying for boston - - - is do-able. You are going to do it!!
