fingers crossed

This morning I am enamored with the sunshine. I'm sitting in my kitchen brewing cinnamon spice herbal tea and nursing my greek yogurt. Tommy had a rough night. You know, vomit and such. Quite unpleasant. That means we are going nowhere today. That never happens around here. Never. He's doing better in the light of morning and the prospect of being housebound today is rather appealing. The boys are downstairs all wrapped up in homemade quilts watching old Looney Tunes cartoons, both of them sipping ginger ale from sippy cups. I will putter about putting away laundry and reorganizing closets, perhaps I'll vacuum. During nap time I will retreat to my sewing room to finish up a few projects before tomorrow (check back for more details on that). I will make homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner and everyone will go to bed early and not wake up until the sunlight comes streaming in between their curtains. At least, I really, really hope that this is how today will go. Holding my breathe actually and chanting, "Please don't throw up, please don't throw up, please don't throw up." So far, so good. But the sun is shining on my face and there is something healing and calming about that. So, probably, all will be well.

Sunshine makes everything better.

Crossing my fingers that all the vomiting is done at your house.

UH, we've had many a tummy issues 'round here of late. Wishing I didn't have one in diapers at this time (sorry TMI). But last week, when it was the worst was hard because the weather was SO warm I wore shorts. Well, I hope you will have a fufilling day, totally in your element.
